New Height Sensors Now Shipping!

Monday, December 31st, 2012

MG_5138

Something that we have only briefly discussed is the development of our new height sensor. It was built to increase accuracy and ease the installation process. Nine months of research and testing went into this latest iteration, bettering the e-Level Management System in every way.

MG_5149

These improvements include:

* 4 different mounting points on the arm for target suspension travels of 4″, 3″, 2″, 1″.

* Removable setup guide keeps the sensor within range during setup (100 degrees). Once the setup guide is removed there is an additional 10 degrees of electrical travel on each side and no mechanical stops to break.

* The arm can be removed and re-clocked in 4 quadrants to re-orient the connector location in tight spaces.

* Improved linkage design (these plastic heim-joints have zero slack). This will bring a further accuracy improvement.

* Back and Face Mountable (Nice for through mounting applications).

This is yet another example of our commitment to never stop improving in our pursuit of excellence. Expect even more product developments to be announced in the beginning half of 2013!

The feature vehicles equipped with AccuAir Suspension, at the 2012 SEMA Show, were as impressive as ever. To say this years list was impressive would be a gross understatement, so we will let the pictures do what our words cannot.

AccuAir In Japan

AccuAir in Japan!

The AccuAir phenomenon has spanned both the Pacific and the Atlantic, with dealers all over the globe offering their customers the very best in air management. We’ve made a huge splash and exploded into the European, German, and VIP car markets, so it was only a matter of time before our Air Suspension technology took hold in Japan. At this year’s Yokohama Hot Rod Custom show, AccuAir had a few feature cars on hand, including Kirk Hammett’s (Metallica’s Guitarist) 1936 Ford Coupe built by Cole Foster from Salinas Boys. We also had AccuAir Japan dealers on hand offering and demonstrating e-Level and other AccuAir products to their customers. Luckily we were able to snag one of their translated brochures as a cool souvenir before they were gone!

Today’s Top Builders Choose AccuAir

“Most of all… it works!” – Rick Dore

Rick  Dore  has been in the custom car building game for well over two decades. Rick started using Air Bags in their infancy and is no stranger to the problems that were typical before AccuAir raised the standard. When James Hetfield (lead singer from Metallica) approached Rick Dore about making his daily driven 1952 Olds more reliable, Rick immediately called upon AccuAir Suspension to get the job done right. The old switches and gauges were ripped out and replaced with a complete Stage 2 e-Level Air Management Package, which quickly transformed Hetfield’s cruiser into the reliable family hauler that he was after from the beginning!

Watch the video below to see what Rick had to say when he came to pick up the 52 Olds:
